This 2D animated explainer video was for a client in the construction industry who specialise in helping businesses secure more tender opportunities.
The goal was to quickly explain the process of their tender generation service and highlight their partnership with Barbour ABI.

The section of the video which features the testimonial text boxes, was actually more interesting to put together than it might seem. Early on I considered that the client may want to change some of these quotes further down the line (as they had initially asked me to pick whichever ones I like from a list). As such, I decided to build the animation in a generative way. All the text boxes are designed to auto adjust their size and spacing based on the text within them. And rather than manually inputting all the text and risking having to manually change it later, it reads it from a csv spreadsheet. Effectively this means, when the client decided that they wanted to change some of the quotes, I merely needed to update the text in a spreadsheet, reload the project and it updates for me. On this occasion, putting in the extra work at the start was certainly worth it.
The data visualisation segment was also quite fun to work on. Using similar generative tools as the above, I was able to quickly iterate and dynamically change the animations of charts and graphs. In this instance, they were just there to be aesthetically pleasing, but it also would have been possible to have them be data driven as well.
For the rest of the video, it was fairly light character animation that involved taking pre-made character assets and editing/prepping them so they can be animated. And then trying to make the scene transitions as smooth as possible.
